Moisturizers - step 3
I think it's absolutely insane that most people think that oily skin types don't need moisturizers, skin oil is not always a moisture! I wouldn't recommend that oily types use a cream base product, but we all need a certain amount amount of moisture throughout the day. The fact about skin is as we age, and we don't stay hydrated,we start to develop age spots they will take longer to go away because of a Lack of Moisture!
The sooner we find a moisturizers that works for our skin types,
the less worrying you'll have to do about anti-aging. Normal - Think lightweight and oil free, agian you a have a variety of choices. Consider anti- aging products, the sooner the better! Oily- Yes you need moisture too! Try an oil absorbing mosturizer, that comes in a serum, and if you're acne prone use a low grade medicated gel with benzol peroxide or salicylic acid. Dry- Think cream based with hydrating natural oils, shea butter, avacado, lanolin, or caoco butter, acne prone dry type should stay oil-free Combination- start with a hydrating toner, then a skin balancing serum or stick. Sensitive- light oils that are fragrance free, like Vitamin E, aloe vera and chamomile. This will calm and nurture the skin Hyperpigmentation- for the daytime a mix of spf and lactic (cream for dry, serum for oily) and at night a retinol, and hydroquinone 4% or less should be alternated (one night retinol, the next night hydroquinone) be sure to seedoctor if pigment marks are not fading.
